CMMC Compliance
CMMC stands for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program designed to enhance the cyber protection standards of organizations in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). It's a framework that ensures DIB contractors implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive information, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI).
CMMC Level 1 is added to contracts where Federal Contract Information(FCI) only will be received or generated by the contractor. Level 1 will require organizations to annually self-assess and affirm their compliance with the 17 Level 1 practice requirements, which are composed of 59 assessment objectives.
